REVERENCE
It is important that we have a reverent attitude in every sacrament meeting. We should be the happiest, most thankful people on earth. We have the gospel, temples, families, the priesthood, and the blessings they offer; therefore, we should be the most reverent.
During sacrament meeting our thoughts should include our Savior and the work of missionaries. Arriving ten minutes early allows us to ponder and think about reverence prior to taking the sacrament. The foyer is the place for visiting.
Reverence is expressed differently at different ages. Our young people show reverence outwardly by folding their arms, speaking and walking quietly. As we grow reverence is experienced inwardly.
Reverence is a profound respect and love for Heavenly Father and our Savior. Reverent behavior follows the attitude. As reverent attitudes increase, we can be more receptive to spiritual promptings.
Our homes may also become a place where reverence is felt. Music, pictures, thoughts and speech can be peaceful. It may not be easy, but it is possible.
