Temple Blocks

At the December activity we made temple blocks for all the sisters.  If you have not received your temple block, please see a member of the RS presidency.  You did not have to come to the activity or sign up for the craft to get a block.

February-Service Baby Shower

On February 19th we will be having a service baby shower as part of the weekday meeting.  We are collecting items to donate to the Tucson Pregnancy Center.  They are requesting new items.  The following is a list of things they need.  Any help you can give in the donations is greatly appreciated.  We will be collecting the items on that night.  If you aren't able to make it to the meeting but wish to donate, please bring it to church with you on 2/17/13.

We will also be having a basic sewing class and make receiving blankets to donate.  If you would like to donate fabric, that would be appreciated.  We will be providing fabric also.  Please bring your sewing machine.  If you are a beginner we will have experienced seamstresses to assist you.  If you are experience, please come and share your knowledge.

Visiting Teaching

Please contact your visiting teaching supervisor as soon as your visiting teaching is completed.  This will help the ladies that record visiting teaching statistics tremendously.  Also, if by chance you don't complete your visiting teaching, please report that also.  There are 11 more days to visit teach this month.  Please let your sisters know they are cared for!

Come to The Temple

The theme for this year is attending the house of God - the temple.

The Kirtland temple was the first one built.  Endownments and sealings were performed for the saints in the Nauvoo Temple

In 1980 the Church had 21 temples; today we have 140.

Temples provide ordinances necessary for entrance to the celestial kingdom.  Blessings are received, and purpose for our lives is received by temple attendance.

This year please strive to make temple attendance a priority.
