Lesson Synopsis of 4/15/12

Relief Society April 15, 2012

Ward Conference

Lesson taught by Relief Society Stake Presidency

Arise and Shine Forth:

Objective:  We can learn to be examples of Christ in our home, church and community as we arise and shine forth!  A theme poster can be obtained at : slcgreer@yahoo.com

D&C 115:5, Verily I say unto you, arise and shine forth that thy light may be a standard for the nations.  We must: set an example, stay true to our beliefs, let our light shine forth (be happy), be a missionary, and be a standard bearer.

How Can I Arise and Shine Forth?

1) In my community?  If we believe we can do all things through Christ, we can work miracles.  Alma 26:12.  We can invite one person to join us in a service activity.

2) In my church participation and calling?  Visiting teaching is an ongoing assignment.  Do sisters feel the light of Christ after our visit?

3) In my home?  We can develop attributes of Christ.  With Christ anything is possible.

Those attributes include: FAITH, HOPE, CHARITY AND LOVE, VIRTUE, KNOWLEDGE, PATIENCE, HUMILITY, DILIGENCE, AND OBEDIENCE.
